Keto tuna casserole

Keto tuna casserole is a low-carb version of the popular American dish and contains no noodles, thereby, justicing the keto diet! It is delicious, filling and super easy to make for a perfect meal at any time of the day!

Ingredients –

2 cans of tuna

1 yellow onion

1 green bell pepper

2 garlic cloves, chopped (optional)

½ cup shredded cheese

1tbsp butter

¼ tsp salt

¼ tsp pepper

¼ tsp cayenne pepper (or) 1 tsp chilli flakes

½ cup mayonnaise (low-carb)

1 tbsp mustard (optional)

¼ cup parsley, chopped (optional)

 

Directions –

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C (400 degrees F)
  2. Chop the onion and bell pepper finely.
  3. Melt butter in a pan on medium flame and fry the chopped onions, bell peppers, and garlic.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. In a greased baking dish, mix the tuna, mayonnaise, mustard, ¼ cup cheese, and cayenne pepper.
  6. Add in the fried onions, bell peppers, and garlic and mix well.
  7. Garnish the top of the baking dish mixture with the remaining ¼ cheese.
  8. Bake for about 15-20 minutes until the casserole turns golden brown.
  9. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
