1. How did you feel before losing weight? I would say that I was quite a confident person, however, I did have aspects of my body that made me feel insecure such as my stomach and my arms, so I used to dress in ways that covered those areas. Also, I wasn’t very active before weight loss so activities such as sports, climbing the stairs made me get tired very quickly.

2. What sort of health conditions did you have due to the weight (if any)? I had no health conditions.

3. What is the one thing or many things at once that made you realize its time to change When I realized my weight had increased to 100.2kg - a weight I had never hit in my life - that is when I knew I had to make a change.

4. What was the biggest struggle you went through while losing weight? The biggest struggle was eating smaller portions daily as I had been consuming larger meals my entire life, so I had to switch to healthy but filling meals such as avocados so I didn’t feel hungry daily.

5. Did anything impact you to make it harder to lose weight? Thankfully nothing did. 

6. What kept you motivated throughout the weight loss? My support system, made up of my friends and family really helped keep me going. 

7. How much weight did you lose in total? I lost 30kgs in total. 

8. How do you feel now after losing the weight? I feel more energetic and definitely extra confident in my body. 

9. Did any health problems go away once you lost the weight?  I had no health problems prior to my weight loss. 

10. How is your confidence now? My confidence is at an all time high. I still do have days of insecurities because I’m human haha. But most days I’m pretty confident. 

11. What is one thing you couldn’t do before weight loss that you can do now? One thing I couldn’t do was exercise for long periods of time, but now I’m much stronger and can do many intense workouts. 

12. What did you learn about yourself throughout the journey? I learned that I am very strong-willed and that when I put my mind to something I am able to achieve it.
